System Updates Summary

Here's a breakdown of what the development teams have been working on, explained in plain language:

1. Data Preparation (Cleanup & Organization)

  • The team cleaned up existing records in the system to get everything ready for a test deployment (staging). This is like tidying up a room before showing it to guests.

2. User Interface (UI) Improvements - Making Things Easier to See and Use

  • Product Options: If someone in Global Canada adds a product without a specific link (MRL), the system will now hide the "MRL" option from view.

  • Price Display: The "List Price" is now removed from the preview and published views because it was unnecessary for end-users to see.

  • Image Quality: The team is working to make sure that preview images show up in the right size and clarity (no stretching or pixelation).

  • Text Clarification: The team is removing or correcting misplaced "Add" text to make the user interface clearer.

  • Banner Height: The top banner has been reduced in size (by at least 50%) so it doesn't cover up important gallery images.

  • Cover Photos: Users can now upload cover photos for Brands, allowing for personalization and easy identification.

3. Reporting and Data Accuracy

  • Category Corrections: The team has been working to make sure all product categories are organized correctly.

  • Dealer Reporting: The system now accurately displays brand purchase totals when a dealer logs in.

  • Dealer/Brand Connections: The system automatically creates connections between dealers and brands when they are missing, reducing manual work.

  • Inbound Data: When information is brought in ("inbound sheets"), the system now automatically fills in dealer information if a connection already exists.

  • Preventing Duplicates: The system prevents duplicate dealer connections from being created to keep the data reliable.

  • Reporting Dates: Dealers can now select a start and end date when generating reports.

  • Location-Based Analytics: Users can now view analytics (data about company and incoming data) broken down by specific locations.

  • Incentive Export: A button has been added to allow Taran to export incentive data to a spreadsheet (.csv file).

  • Incentive Editing: Users can now edit incentive programs specific to individual locations within the CRM system.

4. Technical Adjustments & Bug Fixes - Behind-the-Scenes Work

  • Document Updates: The system now only updates information about dealers on documents that are still open, leaving closed documents unchanged.

  • Dealer Mapping: Users can now easily search for and select dealers when updating how dealers are connected to certain information.

  • Data Persistence: The system is now more reliable in keeping important identifiers ("invoiceId") in the correct place so that data functions correctly.

  • Unique IDs: Each new connection between dealers now has a unique identifier to ensure the table displays properly.

  • Product Image Synchronization: The team fixed a bug where images assigned to a product in one area of the system wouldn't show up correctly in other areas.

  • Data Collection Example: An example of the data being collected from Kevin Mudge and the OMS was provided for Dave.
